Seats Allocation and Scholarship Detail

The seats will be filled in by following manner:

  • ACPC Category Seats (50% of Intake):- 50% seat of the total intake will be filled in by the Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC, GoG). These seats shall be filled-in by the candidates who have passed the qualifying examination from the schools located in the State of Gujarat including Diu, Daman and Dadra Nagar Haveli. These seats shall be filled as per the guidelines of ACPC. Candidate has to apply to ACPC, GoG, separately. (Website: jacpcldce.ac.in)
  • All India Category Seats (35% of Intake):- 35% (All India) seat of the total seats will be filled-in by Institute of Technology, Nirma University. These seats shall be filled from the candidates who have passed the qualifying examination from the schools located in India (including Gujarat State) and have appeared for JEE (Main) 2018 examination. Merit list for these seats shall be based on All India Rank of JEE (Main) 2018 examination.
  • NRI / NRI sponsored Category Seats (15% of Intake):- 15% seats of the total Intake will be filled-in by Institute of Technology, Nirma University.
    • NRI seats will be filled in by the candidates who have passed the Qualifying Examination from the schools located abroad. Merit list for these seats shall be based on the qualifying examination. First preference will be given to NRI candidates in admission. After existing NRI candidates merit list, if seats remain vacant, the same will be filled-up by NRI Sponsored candidates.
    • NRI sponsored seats will be filled by the candidates who have passed the Qualifying Examination from the schools located in India (including Gujarat State). Merit list for these seats shall be based on the All India Rank of JEE (Main) 2018.

Information For (35% All India Category Seats)

Admission to First Year B. Tech. Programme – 2018 (35% seats – All India Category)

  1. Eligibility (35% All India Seats & 15% NRI Seats)
    1. Candidate should have appeared JEE (Main) 2018 (For 35% All India Seats and NRI Sponsored Category).
    2. The aspiring candidates should have passed Std. 12 (Science Stream) with minimum 45% in three subjects viz two compulsory subjects i.e. Physics and Mathematics and any one of optional subjects i.e. (Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Technical Vocational Subjects prescribed by respective boards) from single board.

  2. Candidate has to apply online on the website.

  3. Application fee:
    • Application Fee of Rs.350/-(non-refundable) for the applicant appeared in 12th board exam from the school located in the State of Gujarat or Union Territories of Daman and Diu or Dadra Nagar Haveli.
    • Application Fee of Rs.1200/-(non-refundable) for the applicant appeared in 12th board exam from the school located outside the State of Gujarat or Union Territories of Daman and Diu or Dadra Nagar Haveli.
    • Payment will be made online through either Credit Card / Debit Card/ Net Banking.

  4. Your application will be treated as complete only after the payment of an application fee and allotment of registration number.

  5. Institute timing
    Monday to Friday and Saturday (odd)      :      10.00 am to 4.00 pm

  8. Admission Rules
    • The 35% seats of intake shall be filled by Institute of Technology, Nirma University under the category of All India seats from the candidates who have passed the qualifying examination from the schools located in India (including Gujarat State).

  9. Mode of Admission
    1. These seats shall be filled-in by the candidates who have passed 12th Science Examination with above mentioned subjects from the school located in India (including Gujarat State) on the basis of All India Rank (*AIR) of JEE (Main)-2018.
    2. Online application form is available on the website www.nirmauni.ac.in/ITNU/BTECHAdmission and same should be filled with correct information (as per the instruction) and make payment by Net banking / Credit card / Debit card.
    3. The provisional merit list with detailed programme of counselling will be displayed on website www.nirmauni.ac.in/ITNU/BTECHAdmission, time to time.
    4. Score card of JEE (Main)-2018 and HSC (Std. 12th) Examination Mark Sheet(s) need not to be sent.
    5. In case, Letter Grade / Performance Index or Graded Point Average is awarded, instead of percentage marks/percentile in qualifying examination, equivalence certificate from school authorities shall be required on the day of counselling of admission.
    6. Online counselling will be carried out for the admission to First Year B.Tech. Programme 2018. Allotted admission seat of the candidate will be confirmed only after the successful payment of necessary fees, subject to verification of Eligibility and necessary documents. The candidate has to report within stipulated time as per the schedule at Institute of Technology, Nirma University, Ahmedabad along with following documents (original and two sets of photo copies) and two passport size photographs.

      2. HSC (Std. 12th) Examination Mark Sheet
      3. School Leaving Certificate / Transfer Certificate
      4. Admit Card of JEE (Main)-2018
      5. Score Card of JEE (Main)-2018
      6. Equivalence Certificate (In case, Letter Grades / Performance Index or Graded Point Average awarded in qualifying examination)
    7. Candidate is required to follow admission procedure and schedule, declared time to time at the office of the Institute and websites www.nirmauni.ac.in/ITNU/BTECHAdmission.

Admission Counselling Process For (35% All India Category Seats)

Counselling Process

  • Candidate has to fill up the branch choices, at the time of filling up the application form, online on the website www.nirmauni.ac.in/ITNU/BTECHAdmission.
  • The filled choices can be modified within the stipulated time limit. Branch choices will be locked automatically on the last date of submission of online application as mentioned in schedule.
  • As per the locked choices, admission committee will proceed for allotting the seats and declare the status of allotment on www.nirmauni.ac.in/ITNU/BTECHAdmission. The candidates may view their status of allotment by login to their account.
  • After online allotment, following four options will be given to the selected (on the basis of merit) candidates in their accounts and they are required to select any one out of these four options, failing within stipulated time duration his / her candidature deemed to be cancelled.
    • Option A. I accept the branch allotted to me and I do not want any up gradation in branch allotted. I will also report to the Nirma University as per the given schedule failing which I will not have any right for admission to Institute of Technology, Nirma University.
    • Option B. I accept the branch allotted to me, however I want to remain in counselling process for branch up gradation. Branch upgraded as a result of reshuffling will supersede the current branch allotted and binding to me. I will also report to the Nirma University as per the given schedule failing which I will not have any right for admission in the branch made available to me at Institute of Technology, Nirma University.
    • Option C. I am not interested in branch made available to me but I want to remain in counselling process for branch up gradation.
    • Option D. I am not interested in branch made available to me as well as I do not want to remain in counselling process for branch up-gradation. (As soon as candidate selects this option, he/she will be out of counselling process at Institute of Technology, Nirma University.)

Note:

  • If you select Option A or Option B, it is mandatory to deposit the required amount of fees through NEFT/RTGS immediately and enter the required details of payment.
  • If you fail to deposit the fees in stipulated time duration, your admission is liable to be cancelled and you will be out of counselling process.
  • If candidate does not choose any of the above options within stipulated time duration, Option ‘D’ will be considered by default.
  • The candidate who has secured an admission at Institute of Technology, Nirma University by paying requisite fees will get information letter containing check list of the documents to be submitted. Candidate and Parent have to report with print out of the information letter and necessary documents for verification and to prove eligibility of the candidate on notified schedule.
  • If candidate has already taken admission to B. Tech Programmes at Institute of Technology, Nirma University by reporting in-person, upgraded branch may be allotted in subsequent round of counseling.
  • If candidate is unable to remain present in person, due to unavoidable circumstances, parent with authority letter from candidate will be permitted, provided the admission committee is satisfied for the genuineness about the candidate’s inability to remain present.
  • If candidate does not remain present at the scheduled date and time and presents himself afterwards, he/she will be offered admission in the branch available at that time.
  • Candidate can cancel his/her admission through Registered E-mail only or come personally to the Institute along with the original fees paid receipts and admission order within the stipulated period given on website.
  • Candidates are advised to visit website www.nirmauni.ac.in/ITNU/BTECHAdmission regularly for information related to counselling process.
