CAD for mechatronics give students greater depth of technical knowledge in the areas of design using modeling and analysis software’s. To learn detailed engineering of 3D models and application of computer system to a solution of design problem.
Course Outcome
After successful completion of the course the students shall be able to:
1. Model the 3-D geometric information of machine components including assemblies, and automatically generate 2-D production drawings.
2. Understand the basic analytical fundamentals that are used to create and manipulate geometric models in a computer program
3. Learn to create shapes including Bezier curves and surfaces used in different mechanisms.
4. Learn to optimize the design of machine components.

Active Learning
Preparation of power-point slides, which include videos, animations, pictures, graphics for better understanding theory and practical work – The faculty will allocate chapters/ part of chapters to groups of students so that the entire syllabus of CAD for mechatronics covered. The power-point slides should be put up on the web-site of the college/Institute, along with the name of the group, the name of faculty, Department and College on the first slide.
