Rationale
This course provides fundamentals for selection and design of the most appropriate air pollution control systems. It also provides the basics regarding the auxiliary equipments necessary for efficient working of air pollution control system of any industry.
Course Outcome
After learning the course the students should be able to:
1. Select the most suitable and cost-effective air pollution control equipment to remove air pollutants generated by using combustion of different fuels.
2. Carry out a preliminary design of air pollution control equipments to remove air pollutants including gases and vapours.
3. Compute the requirements of auxiliary equipments.

Active Learning
Preparation of power-point slides, which include videos,animations, pictures, graphics for better understanding theory and practical work – The faculty will allocate chapters/ parts of chapters to groups of students so that the entire syllabus to be covered. The power-point slides should be put up on the web-site of the College/ Institute, along with the names of the students of the group, the name of the faculty, Department and College on the first slide. The best three works should submit to GTU.
