Rationale
In present era it is highly essential to be able to prepare final product or its prototypes at the earliest. This is desirable to ensure that all the expected requirement of product are addressed and if required, its performance is also assessed from the prototype. Rapid prototyping offers a convenient option for manufacturing of product or its prototype from the CAD model.
Course Outcome
On completion of this course students will be able to:
1. Understand and use techniques for processing of CAD models for rapid prototyping.
2. Understand and apply fundamentals of rapid prototyping techniques.
3. Use appropriate tooling for rapid prototyping process.
4. Use rapid prototyping techniques for reverse engineering.

Active Learning
Preparation of power-point slides, which include videos, animations, pictures, graphics for better understanding theory and practical work – The faculty will allocate chapters/ parts of chapters to groups of students so that the entire syllabus to be covered. The power-point slides should be put up on the web-site of the College/ Institute, along with the names of the students of the group, the name of the faculty, Department and College on the first slide. The best three works should submit to GTU
