Prerequisite
A good fundamental knowledge of water supply planning, execution and management.
Rationale
This subject is intended to make students aware about the basic fundamentals of water demand calculation, sources of water, collection, conveyance and distribution for public uses. This subject also make student aware about the issues and challenges in water management.
Course Outcome
On successful completion of this course unit, the student should be able to:
1. explain of planning of water supplies scheme
2. have good knowledge water treatment method
3. access quality of water
4. have knowledge about water management

Active Learning
Preparation of power-point slides, which include videos, animations, pictures, graphics for better understanding theory and practical work – The faculty will allocate chapters/ parts of chapters to groups of students so that the entire syllabus to be covered. The power-point slides should be put up on the web-site of the College/ Institute, along with the names of the students of the group, the name of the faculty, Department and College on the first slide. The best three works should submit to GTU.
