Prerequisite
The students have already undertaken course work with different Unit Operations, Process and Reaction engineering based aspects of various process applications. Basic knowledge of Chemistry is also required
Rationale
The main objective of this subject is to make students aware about the manufacturing procedures of different chemical compounds and their engineering aspects as it is necessary for them to access the potential hazardous which can occur during the processes.
Course Outcome
After learning the course the students should be able:
1. To build a basic knowledge of the process carried out in chemical industry.
2. To review the practical importance and relevance of process takes place in chemical industry.
3. To be able to utilize the technological methods in problem solving in process plant.
4. To study about the salient features of the process.
5. To build a bridge between theoretical and practical concept used in industry

Active Learning
Preparation of power-point slides, which include videos, animations, pictures, graphics for better understanding theory and practical work – The faculty will allocate chapters/ parts of chapters to groups of students so that the entire syllabus to be covered. The power-point slides should be put up on the web-site of the College/ Institute, along with the names of the students of the group, the name of the faculty, Department and College on the first slide.
